Was trying some things with this, but I’m not sure they worked. I may have mixed up tenses in a couple places. And I wasn’t sure how well it worked to use the perspective of a narrator telling a story about an encounter, rather than telling a story TO a listener. If that makes sense. I haven’t had a creative writing class in over 20 years, so I don’t know the proper terminology. Let me know what you think.

What a trip. Three days in a beautiful mountainous country, and I was stuck in the hotel the entire time for business meetings. Now I’m looking at a long flight back home and jet lag.
