Rravel I do hope you didn't find my French too bad. I haven't studied it in years, and wasn't good even when I did. I relied heavily on Google translate and various other online dictionaries.

Then, I wasn't translating a novel into French, it was just color, so I don't think it needed to be great 😆

I found your French excellent for it's intended use. I think you pulled off the interspersion of French phrases in a very effective and believable manner. Especially nice was the correction by Yvette of Kev's "S'il vous plait" to ""S'il te plait". Certainly the familiar you is called for under the circumstances.

The only very minor issue and one I didn't catch on first reading was the reference to pantalons. The French ( I believe) use the singular for what we in English call a "pair of pants". Not a criticism - just an observation.

French is difficult for most native English speakers. It is for me. But, its beauty makes the pursuit worthwhile.

Rravel You're right, and actually I knew that, but the 's' slipped in! I'll fix it. I remember being reminded of that when I looked up the translation and noticed that it was singular, but I guess I added the s automatically. Thanks!

(Edit) Aha! I see what I did. I got it right in the place that I'd translated ("Enlève ton pantalon, s'il te plait") but where Yvette is mixing languages, I did, too, and added the s.
